Cars in Germany's Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Around fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Officers state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other vandalized cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report early analysis show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they added.

City officials said they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior representative said the vandalism left him without words and required to be addressed promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a assailant focusing on residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
