Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conducted a visit to speak to defense personnel in the Donetsk region on the weekday. Zelenskyy announced that he engaged with soldiers at the operational headquarters of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, a town approximately 20km from Pokrovsk.

Critical Conditions in the Area

Updated analysis from a local initiative revealed that Russian forces had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by any party. The conditions are severe, with accounts indicating that invading units were digging in and building up positions in various sectors.

Invading troops are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk sector and appear to be operating with increasing comfort within urban Pokrovsk.

Research institutes observed that defense units had freed a large area of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes Within Russia

Kyiv's aerial vehicles struck a factory approximately 1,300km inside the federation at Sterlitamak. Local officials reported an explosion at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that caused its water treatment facility to partially collapse, adding that the origin of the detonation was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the facility.
